1. What is the GLO LAB Spray Tan & Skin Treatment Automated Booth?

​

It’s an automated beauty and skincare booth that delivers professional spray tanning and full-body rejuvenation — for the ultimate glow experience.

1. How long does a session take?   Most sessions take about 10–15 minutes, including warm drying for complete comfort.

2. Do I need to prepare my skin before my session? Yes! Exfoliate and avoid lotions, perfumes, deodorants, or oils beforehand for the smoothest, most even result.

3. How long will my tan last? Typically 7–10 days, depending on your skin type and aftercare. Regular moisturising helps extend your glow.

4. Will it suit sensitive skin? Absolutely. All GLO LAB products are formulated to be gentle, non-comedogenic, and free from harsh ingredients. 

5. Can I combine Automated Spray Tan & Skin treatments? Yes — you can enjoy a nourishing skincare treatment and a radiant tan in a seamless, back to back automated session.  Two separate bookings are required.  View our membership packages for more information

6. Is the booth hygienic? 100%. Each session is self-cleaning and contact-free, ensuring a fresh, safe experience every time.

 

2. What do GLO LAB tanning and skin solution contain?

All GLO LAB products are designed for Glow Lovers and are natural based product ingredients:

3. How should I prepare for my automated spray tanning session?

 

Exfoliate and shave the day before or the day of your session (day before is preferred).
On the day of your session, avoid moisturizers, perfumes, lotions, oils, or deodorants that may create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution.  You may resume using these products after your first shower or bath.

4. How long should I wait after a session before showering?

 

REGULAR TANNING 8-24 hours 

To give DHA enough time to fully develop, wait at least 8 hours, or 24 hours for optimal results. 

Showering sooner may reduce the intensity of the tan.  If using an instant cosmetic bronzer, the immediate colour may wash off, but the DHA-produced colour will remain.  

 

FAST TANNING - 1-3 hours

We offer GLO LAB Rapid Tanning solution designed with cool violet-brown undertones to give a natural tan – Fast! It gives you the ability to do a warm water rinse only - in 1 hour for light colour, 2 hours for a medium tan or 3 hours for the darkest bronze

5. Will swimming affect my tan?

 

Swimming in chlorinated or salt water can fade the tan, cause streaking, and shorten its lifespan.
Normal activities like bathing, showering, or exercise will not affect the tan’s quality.

6. Will my skin look orange?

 

No. Modern tanning solutions are designed to create a natural, bronze glow.
GLO LAB staff can help you select the right solution to match your skin tone.

7. Does the sunless spray tanning solution have an odour?

 

Our solutions use advanced odour-control technology to minimise or eliminate typical tanning odours.

8. Will the cosmetic bronzer stain clothing?

 

Cosmetic bronzers are water-soluble and usually wash out in the next cold wash.
In some cases, DHA may permanently stain undergarments worn during the session.

9. How long does a sunless spray tan last?

 

A sunless spray tan can last 5–7 days depending on the solution and your skin condition.

10. Are there ways to enhance sunless spray tanning results?

 

Take-home products are sold at GLO LAB can extend and enhance results. Staff can recommend the right products for your skin type and desired glow.

11. What should I expect during my session?

 

We provide a private, comfortable environment for all Glow Lovers.
Staff can guide you through selecting your preferred tan colour, skincare options, and booth settings.

12. Is the service safe for sensitive skin or pregnancy?

 

All tanning solutions are non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
Inform staff of medical conditions, pregnancy, or special considerations before your session.
Well-ventilated booths ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

13. Is GLO LAB inclusive for all genders?

 

GLO LAB welcomes all genders and is LGBTQ+ friendly.

14. How long does the tan last and how do I maintain it?

 

Spray tans last 5–10 days depending on solution, skin type, and care routine.
Avoid swimming for 24 hours after tanning.
Moisturise after the first shower and follow aftercare tips to maintain colour.

15. What are the before & aftercare tips?

 

Exfoliate: Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your session.
Barrier Cream: Apply to palms, backs of hands, elbows, knees, ankles, and feet to prevent uneven colour. Pat Dry: After showering, gently pat dry; avoid rubbing. No Soap: Avoid soap for 12 hours post-tan. Wash hands and face after 30 minutes for natural blending.

16. How do I book, cancel or contact GLO LAB?

GLO LAB Skin Solution is an advanced DHA-free skincare spray formula that revolutionises skincare application with seamless, head-to-toe coverage using the GLO LAB Booth.

18. How do I use GLO LAB Skin Solution?

 

GLO LAB Skin Solution is sprayed head-to-toe using the automated GLO LAB Booth.

19. How often should I use GLO LAB Skin Solution?

 

We recommend 3–4 times per week for maximum results, but it can be used daily if desired.

20. Can GLO LAB Skin TREATMENT be used with a spray tan?

 

Yes! You can add 1–2 GLO LAB Skin treatments directly following your spray tan session (not before) GLO LAB Skin Solution can also be used as a standalone treatment.

23. How long is a GLO LAB Skin TREATMENT session?

 

A standalone session takes under 2 minutes. When paired with a spray tan, the session takes about 6 minutes.

2. LIFT: Restores collagen at a cellular level, reduces fine lines and age spots. Made with C-Lift Peptide Complex, Prolevis (vegetable protein), Bodyfit (Glaucine), Agefinity (Sodium Mannon Phosphate), Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8).

3. RECOVER: Replenishes amino acids lost due to physical activity. Improves skin vibrancy, elasticity, and resilience. Includes Frescolat ML (cooling effect) and Prodew 600 (essential amino acids).

25. What is DHA (dihydroxyacetone) and is it safe?

 

What is DHA? The active ingredient most often used in all sunless tanners, including tinted moisturizers, self-tanners, and spray tan solutions, is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is a carbohydrate (monosaccharide sugar) compound approved by the FDA for external use in sunless tanning solutions. For misting applications, protective measures are recommended to prevent eye contact, inhalation, or ingestion. DHA is often derived from vegetable sources like beets or sugar cane.

Is DHA safe in sunless spray tanning solutions?

 

Yes. The FDA has approved DHA for external application. For misting applications, protective eyewear, nose filters, ear plugs, lip balm, and undergarments are recommended.

Is sunless spray tanning solution suitable for those with skin sensitivities or allergies? Yes, but Glow Lovers with sensitivities or allergies are advised to consult a health care professional before using the product.

 

What if DHA gets in the eyes?

 

Protective eyewear is recommended and can be supplied by the salon. If irritation occurs, gently splash eyes with water. Consult a health care professional if irritation persists.

 

What if DHA is inhaled?

Protective nose filters are recommended and can be supplied by the salon. Consult a health care professional if irritation persists.

What is the DHA advisory?

​

The FDA advises avoiding inhalation, ingestion, or eye contact with DHA. Protective measures during a spray tan session include:

• Lip balm
• Undergarments
